We are a London based voluntary, not-for-profit, community grassroots organisation, driven by strong humanitarian values. Our primary objective is to provide a voice for children trapped in the cycle of domestic violence hence our service model is based on prevention and intervention.
Domestic violence is an endemic which permeates the very core of our society, it is an issue which has left no community untainted; it does not discriminate. Men, Women and children from all races and community groups are affected. Domestic violence can be described as power and control over another, usually between adults who are or who have been intimate partners regardless of gender or sexuality. Unfortunately, children are the biggest casualties of domestic violence
"We provide a voice for children trapped in the cycle of domestic violence, and we have found from research that children from violent homes can find themselves suffering conflicting loyalties, experiencing confusion, fear, guilt and a misplaced sense of responsibility to be 'heroes'"
We work with vulnerable children to support, nurture and reintegrate into the wider community with a strong emphasis placed on listening and emotional support Around 7,885 teenagers & children have vanished from care in England & Wales with at least 2,959 going missing more than once, some 35 times. (NSPCC April 2013)
We believe EVERY child deserves a childhood free of fear and we strongly campaign to increase awareness of the devastating impacts of domestic violence on young lives and how this can lead to subsequent child homelessness.
*We support OUTREACH WORK*
Although we primarily focus on domestic violence and in fact tackling the impacts of domestic violence on children is our core work, we believe in capacity building and this is why we are always looking to support outreach services that provide food, warmth and company to people in a position of homelessness.
We will support any organisation to deliver positive outreach work to any homeless person regardless of their faith/racial background or sexual orientation.
We will work with any organisation that shares our values of interfaith cooperation, transparency and respect for all service users.
